The Bounty of Summer

Summer brings her familiar gifts each year.
Our taste buds receive the bounty as we grace our tables with her delights.
Our eyes are delighted by her beauty.
Joining Vee on Postcard Wednesday I have gathered past post pictures which might make a good post card to be sent to entice others to enjoy summer.

Mosaics of Summer Bounty
Peaches and Blackberry Cobbler with Ice Cream

Canning - Garden or Local Farmer's Market Produce

Since this butterfly eats my dill/fennel when it is a caterpillar I added it also.  We have just caught our first caterpillar this year and waiting for the metamorphic process.  In the mean time I add it as one of the Beauties of Summer.

They certainly speak beautifully of summer and would make lovely note cards or, if you prefer, post cards. I'd take them either way. And, technically speaking, you could add a fourth, if you'd like. =D

Thanks for joining in again, Janette!

Just lovely Janette. You look like you are having such a great summer.
Just wanted to say thanks to you for being such a prayer warrior. Not one email since you asked if you could pray. Not a single one. I am still amazed at your prayers and God's goodness. So Thank you very much.

What great photos, definitely put me in the mood for summer (ready or not it is nearly 100 degrees here). I had strange looking bugs eat all my dill, and I thought they were unusually colored, I had no idea they would morph into beautiful butterflies (I sprayed the pot, now I feel very badly). :(

I'm so late to the party! I have been a bit on overdrive for the past few days.

These are great, and they really would make a great notecard. You've actualy given me an idea of a great way to make little post cards to send. Mosaics!

Janette,
What a delightful visit I had at your blog place this evening. Your name's been on my heart these past days... so tonight, I decided to drop by here and find out the latest about you.

These summer pictures are beautiful, I just love peaches and icecream!

And, I so enjoyed reading about your 32nd anniversary post. Beautiful pictures. That farm is really my kind of place.

And I loved the inspirational words you wrote at the end:

-sometimes the work is worth it

-sometimes small is better than large

-sometimes you just need a vision

=sometimes God can create something in your second half of life that was greater than the first

-all things are possible

I enjoyed my visit here. Glad to know all is well.

Much love
Lidia
