Welcome to my eclectic journey of my life and delights. This year my theme is surrendering my writing pen to the true author, Jesus Christ, while looking forward to the future, reflecting on the past and dancing through my journey.

When the Dog Bites!

"When the dog bites
When the bee stings,
When I'm feeling sad
I simple remember my Favorite Things
Then I don't Feel so Bad"

I have been hearing this song in my head recently so
I am listing some of my Favorite Things

Fabrics, All Kinds of Fabrics - Fabric Store
Home Decor - Decorating
Chia Tea
Beach
Books, Books, Children's Books - Bookstore
Camping - Enjoying the Outdoors
Dr Pepper
Cheesecake
Dinner out with my Husband - white tablecloths
My Large Family

What are some of your favorite things?  Isn't it just fun to stop and list some of the wonderful things we get to enjoy?  I think the song is right...."when I remember a few of my favorite things, then I don't feel so sad."
Even a long day can look better after thinking about your favorite things.
Thanks for joining me on my blogging journey....I am learning and enjoying!

Oh, I love this post (and the Sound of Music, too)! So true that listing our loves brings us joy! I love your loves and some of mine are: family dinner hour, bible study with woman of various backgrounds (you just learn soo much!), summmertime, strawberries, sunshine, swimming, fresh salads, grilling out, road trips, the lake, a good book and a hammock, oh, the list just goes on and on and on...depending on the season, too, of course!

Oh my ... let me think ...
kitty cats (love 'em), get a ways w/ my hubby (*sigh*), babies (always), music from stings(comforting), salmon (yum), soft things (like your pillows), good books (that make me think) and ... blogging (a lot!)

BTW - good to see you're on Etsy!!

I love that song and we love watching that movie together as a family. A few of mine...hot tea with milk, sunrises, sunsets, barefeet on moist sand, having quiet time early in the morning, flip flops, the smell of coffee, peppermint lip balm, hand lotion, ice cream, my children's smiles and spending time with loved ones. I could keep going but I'll leave it at that. Fun post Janette :)

Ditto on a lot of things on your list - large family, dates with hubby (not as frequent as they should be), Dr. Pepper... I'd also add bright yellow dandelions presented in a grubby fist, arms around my neck with an "I wuv you, Mommy" and quiet time with my Savior.

Just a "few" of my favorite things
Kisses from my kids...now that should have been one of the top...of course time with the Lord...dancing before Him in Worship brings such joy to my heart
Thanks for adding all of your list...how fun!
Great reminder of the precious things in life

Good Morning Janette...I LOVE this post...and your soo right...so MUCH to be joyful about. My list is soo similiar to yours but I would add...the sound of sweet little voices saying "Grandma" phone calls from old friends, the smell of fresh bread baking, lunch out with good girl friends, a day with my sisters with nothing to do but chat and shop, haha. I could go on and on but I will stop, haha. Have a WONDERFUL day my friend. HUGS, Debbie

LOL, I've always loved this song, the beach, fabrics, chai (and green) tea, books, cheesecake, and family. Sounds like we're clones. Very strange Janette!

Yes, were hoping to move to a sandy environment (CA coast or AZ--my dream house is a beach house), in my "other life" I'm an Interior Designer, our walk-in closet is lined with bookcases (I buy used on amazon) and on and on...

Looking forward to meeting you in heaven some day!

Hugs, e-Mom ღ
