Welcome to my eclectic journey of my life and delights. This year my theme is surrendering my writing pen to the true author, Jesus Christ, while looking forward to the future, reflecting on the past and dancing through my journey.

Believing In Marriage

My invitation engraved in crystal, cake topper, wedding bouquet and wedding ring.

Thirty-one years ago today, June 14, 1980, I entered the journey of a lifetime.
The crystal engraved invitation sets on my dresser reminding me of the day I spoke my marriage vows.
Through the ups and downs we still stand on the rock who holds us together.
Thirty-one years later
Grey hairs of experience
Bodies showing the affects of time
Six children
One daughter-in-law
Moves
Jobs
Churches
Joys
 Pains
Riches
Poverty
Sickness
Health
Laughter
Tears
Together - Becoming One
As our invitation states at the beginning - Believing in Marriage
We continue to walk out the vows two naive young people made before the Lord Thirty-one years ago.
Our Anniversary!

As of yesterday we found a new rent house and will be moving in two weeks...a new adventure. Thanks for your prayers of support.

Dear sweet Janette, let me be the
first to offer my congratulations
and very best wishes to you and
your husband! We also celebrated
our anniversary this month, as you know.
How fortunate we are that our
wonderful Lord honored us with
these two godly men as our
husbands and fathers of our children!
Enjoy this special day!
Hugs,
Sandy

Warm congratulations on this 31 year adventure!

I'm so happy to read that you know where you'll be going in two weeks. May it be an even better home than the one you're leaving. All the best! (Wish I could help you pack; since I can't, I'll just keep you all tucked in my prayers.)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!! How wonderful...31 years...a lifetime of sharing and love. What memories you no doubt share. I pray the Lord blesses you with many, many more. May you grow old together, and know even a deeper love than you can even imagine. Soo glad you found a new house....I want to share the verse I am holding onto this week (maybe this month, or even this year, haha)

Eph. 3 20, 21 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him [be] glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever

Congratulations, Janette! I think we were ALL pretty naive at the beginning of our marriages! But God is faithful.

I was thrilled to read the small print and know you have located another house. I'll look forward to details and will be praying for strength and stamina (and sanity) for y'all in the coming days.

It is indeed a covenant, until death.

Until death do you part.

I loved your list. It sums up marriage perfectly. God is so gracious to provide truth through His word that helps us weather the storms. And through it all He in His wisdom gave us a partner so we don't have to go it alone. He looks down on our life 'together' and He calls it VERY good!!

Happy Anniversary Janette!

Blessings, Debbie

Janette,
wonderful words to describe the commitment of marriage. It requires it! We use the quick phrase "trials & tribulations"; I'm thinking of you often & praying for peace, comfort & HIS hands to guide the way through.

Janette,

I just posted my own perspective on marriage tonight when your post on my bloglist caught my eye! If we only knew what was in store when the ideals of the invitations were sent out. Thank goodness for a loving, steadfast God to walk with us through every step! Congrats!
