Welcome to my eclectic journey of my life and delights. This year my theme is surrendering my writing pen to the true author, Jesus Christ, while looking forward to the future, reflecting on the past and dancing through my journey.

Changing of the Seasons
Flowering Season is coming to an end....butterflies are migrating south
A final visit to our front yard
My Change of Season!
There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it's going to be a butterfly.

I love all of Stormie's books. The photograph is lovely and the quote great. I see you have several pair of brightly colored readers, too! Needing glasses isn't fun but at least we can get lots in pretty colors. Hugs, Sandy
Are you reading that now? I started it during the summer. Are you doing the Bible Study that goes with it? It is okay too. I love Stormie but my favorite hands down is the Power of the Praying Wife. I think it has to be the book that changed my life the most. Just praying through it for my husband was so good. I have all of these dates in it when I finished. Have a great Day.
I haven't done the Bible Study by Stormie..will have to check on that. I have her other praying books...but I also love "Praying God's Will for My Husband" by Lee Roberts...I think I bought it in the early 90's.
It's such a powerful picture of our lives, isn't it - this business of changing seasons? I so relate!
I thought I'd die when my children actually and eventually left home. It was one lo-o-o-o-ng Winter for me. That said, when Spring, then Summer finally arrived, I felt a freshness and freedom I'd never known before.
I am definitely STILL dealing with the "empty nest" season (even though it has been a couple of years, haha) Harder than I thought. But I am getting there. And there are LOTS of time I soo enjoy it just being me and him. = ) Have a wonderful day. HUGS, Debbie
I bought that book when my kids married and moved...I read it, I think I read it, I tried reading it, I don't remember getting thought it. I think maybe I went through the motions. Maybe I better go get it off the shelf and read it again!
you've got one foot in and one foot out of the empty nest! I think the years with your little one will be so precious... even as you adjust to those who have 'kind of' moved out! :)
What beautiful photos you posted! I love butterflies. I noticed the book you were reading. :) And I also noticed the reading glasses. I think they make the print so much smaller since I passed 50 years of age. You have a few cute ones. :)
Did you capture the pictures of the butterfly on the flower? Beautiful. I love looking at life as a series of seasons. So true. Sometimes we think a particular season is going to last forever (right now I'm in the season of raising young children). But, time moves on.
I love butterflies-they remind me of what I once was before Christ changed my life-still working on being a beautiful butterfly-one day-maybe not this side of Heaven-but maybe. Hope you have a blessed day friend. Jill
I have read a couple of chapters of "Power of the Praying Wife" and enjoyed it. I haven't seen this one before. I might add it to my long list of books to read! I have so many to read, but I only manage a chapter per night, which is what I am about to to when I have finished this.
I love butterflies and try and capture them on film, however I am sure there are less around that when I as young.
Oh that book looks good. We pray for all the adult children daily...that's five between us and sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge to know just how to pray. I've never read any of Stormie's books, but I have enjoyed seeing her interviews on various programs.
I know that you are yearning to welcome autumn weather, which means that the butterflies must go. They do love lantana, don't they?!
My grandma - who had 9 children and is now with the Lord - once said that when her kids were young, she thought "Once they grow up, then it will be easy."
Then she realized that when her kids grew up, it was even more vital to pray intensely for them. You're obviously experiencing this now. Thanks for this lovely post.
Love and enjoy anything Stormie writes, she has been such a blessing to me over the years as i walk this journey. I haven't gotten this book, yet will soon. Thanks for sharing. Your butterflies are beautiful, and I hate to see mine go, I have enjoyed them so. Thank you for coming by, and for your sweet comment, You are such blessings, Hugs, Sue

I need to pick up that book. Yes, my season has changed.

Mostly I live in Spring these days.

I truly do love the fall season but dread the coming winter...I can endure the snow but it's the gloomy, lack of sun that bothers me.
Beautiful pictures ... and I love they way you tied that into the changing seasons of our life. Such a simple but beautiful post! I love it!
