Welcome to my eclectic journey of my life and delights. This year my theme is surrendering my writing pen to the true author, Jesus Christ, while looking forward to the future, reflecting on the past and dancing through my journey.

SIMPLY!

Simply
Adverb
  1. In a straightforward or plain manner

That is what begins the name of both of my businesses...SIMPLY.  I am sure God thought..."okay girl", so this straightforward Texas girl put her hands to the plow and pushed forward in a plain manner. Someone was going to have to plow the back forty.

Simply Your Decor is slowly growing.  Simply Clean Services is teaching me more skills than I had planned. Both are stretching me..."simply" out of my comfort zone.  Then just in case I didn't have enough to keep me hopping, I got into the oil business.  Not "Texas Crude", but essential oils.  So my brain is "simply" filling it's self full of information from natural cleaners to what essential oils to use for family.

In the midst of my "simply" learning business adventures I had to step back to look at the "simply" beautiful things that I love.

SIMPLY -A group of precious young women who have let this grey-hair old mom join their group.  This is us on a camping trip with our 1st grade class.  No, not a glamour shot.  We all had a blast...I was so blessed.  I am old enough to be their mother, and yet, they have lovingly accepted me.
SIMPLY  - There is nothing...may I say that again..Nothing...so GRAND as a GRAND CHILD.
He just lights up my world!!!  This grandmommy is just thrilled to have him in our life.
He came at the wonderful age of 2 and I am going to love him for the rest of my life.

SIMPLY - Stopping to enjoy my boys.  I know because four are already adults, that this time passes with a blink of the eye.  From camping, to ice cream, feeding catfish or dreaming about what  to do with the son's first car...there is simply things that are more important than working outside the home.
SIMPLY -  A change in color can bring a restful environment in the middle of chaos.
My paint bucket was brought out and cleaning bucket put away so I could be revived.
I can't wait to finish up the curtains and pillows.

So My Simply post ends with the fact that I have "simply" been very busy.

Simply wonderful. It was so good read what you've been up to and see some good stuff and time for mothering and GRANDmothering along with your business ventures. I'm excited that the decor business is taking off as well as the cleaning one since decor is your heart.

I would love to have you share some of your tips in BOTH of them some time since I need help in both of them.

Simply missing your blog face...

I know exactly what you mean about working with younger ones. You seem to fit in perfectly. I had to really look to pick you out in the photo.

Our paths sometimes take us where we never imagined. You have also been on an adventure of life as you try to navigate the twists and turns in your life. But Janette, I'm so proud of you. You choose to embrace what comes and you always do it to glorify your Lord.

Love you,
Debbie

Good morning! Well I have been "simply wondering" how you are. Looks like "simply busy" is my answer, haha. Glad that both business are taking off. And that grandmahood has captured your heart. Two of my grands arrived in my life a little later...one at 6 and the other at 18 months (18 and 12 now) and have helped fill my cup to overflowing. So happy for you! love the color of that bedroom btw. Enjoy your week-end Janette!

Simply...wasn't that your word for the year?
You are putting it to work.
It great to "hear" from you and know that you are doing well.
Yes, grand parenting is THE best!

Oh that simply sounds a little complicated! With no posts for a while, I knew that you were very busy. Now I see all that you've accomplished and I'm impressed...camping, having some fun (young people keep us feeling young), painting your room...what a great color!...and working hard. I love essential oils btw and have a happy little dispenser to use for them. Lavender sure works well for great sleep! =D

You are 'simply' such an encouragement to me, never forgetting to live life, never putting it off until things are better. May the grace that the Lord is giving you bear much fruit!

I have been wondering how things were going with you. I should have known you were doing well because you are such a survivor. Honestly, all of you ladies in the photo look enough alike to be sisters and you look no older than the others! They are blessed to have you around. You are a blessing and encouragement to all of us, Janette. Hope you enjoy the rest of your summer with all your family. Your little grandson looks like Benjamin from behind with that little tow head.
Love you~

It was good to hear what's going on in your life, Janette. I like the way you embrace the "new" in your life. Somehow it helps me be open to "new", too :)

Oh, Janette, this is a simply beautiful post! I love seeing your "goings on" -- and your sweet family and friends. Knowing that you're finally blessed to experience Grandmommy-hood moves me beyond words. I am thankful your businesses are seeing growth, and I continue to pray God's blessings on all of them.

In case you're looking for new professional grade cleaning products, you might want to check out Engleside Products. They are the ones who make the Restoration Linen Cleaner I recommend -- and every "home" cleaning product of theirs I've ever used has been amazing!

Simply beautiful. Dear friend, as I read your words and see the smile on your face, I think of what the Lord has been teaching me, too, as opportunities come before me and as I create an LLC for private counseling, etc....He is the agent who drives the ship. He is your agent. You are being yourself, who He created you to be. He will bring each client your way. Simply, yet so grand! Love you sister in Christ

Oh! Wish you were closer to New Jersey - it's all about female entrepreneurs here as I'm changing direction and fine tuning my business - all the facets of it. Far from simple, to be sure! And, oddly enough - essential oils, too! THe Lord has blessed us with answers to our health issues using the oils and we starting sharing the answers we found and others wanted to know more about our wellness journey - pretty soon - we have quite a group so we started Ross Roads Wellness Fellowshop and we're meeting twice a month! Young Living - that, along with I'm getting back into pursuing publishing with a very talented illustrator and I'm opening Etsy soon, too. It's an adventure but more - a faith walk - one day at a time as He provides and guides. May you know Him in all this and more as you boldly step out in faith, too. I want to see more before and after decor pictures, too!!
Joy!

Janette,
I've been thinking about you today! Good to know what you have been doing. It sounds great. I saw that you were pinning things about essential oils and a lip balm recipe.
Best lip balm recipe - much better than what you can buy:
1 tsp beeswax beads
2 tsp coconut or sunflower oil
2-5 drops flavoring (optional)
vanilla, peppermint, etc.
1 capsule vitamin E
Heat oils and beeswax just til melted. (I microwaved) Mix in the rest. Put in containers of your choice.
Very easy, too.

Oh, and you look beautiful in the picture. As beautiful as the other ladies, if not more so. I had to look twice to find you.
