Tears of Joy and Gratefulness

I can truly say I am so tired that my eyes hurt.  My eyes have been shedding tears of joy and sorrow over all the events of the past two weeks.  The last two weeks I prepared for my daughter's wedding...tears of joy, while also hearing daily reports on my father.  One week before our daughter's wedding my father had a stroke...so tears of sorrow.  Each event ended in tears of gratefulness.  The wedding was a "TOTAL GOD" thing and my Dad arrives home today continuing his recovery...an answered prayer also.

Her three oldest brothers marched down the aisle in front of her and her Dad.  Her two youngest brothers, one a groomsman and Benjamin the ring bearer.  My Ethel saved the day by coming to my rescue and helping from sun up to sundown to prepare all the decorations for both the rehearsal dinner and wedding.  She is the definition of true friend.

So through my tired fingers I am leaving you with some of the first pictures.

We now enter our second unemployment period in six months, while looking back at the beginning of this roller coaster ride and recounting God's faithfulness.  Standing in the reception room, which was overflowing with 220 guest...we only expected 100...we stood as a couple amazed at the goodness of our God and "oh how He loves you and me!"

Oh my goodness: what a gorgeous bride! I just know what joy what that special day for all of you.

So glad to hear your Dad is on the mend. But sad to hear about the unemployment. My son was out of work for 9 months and we got to see firsthand how difficult that can be.

You're an amazing, powerful woman, Janette. You honor God well, and I've no doubt He's got your back.

Will add you to my prayers.

Blessings,
Kathleen

Wow! Just beautiful Janette. I know your heart is bursting with joy for her. I rejoice with you and mourn with you over the news about your father. Prayers that he will make a full recovery.

Try to put your feet up and take it easy for a little while--I know that is easier said than done.

Warm blessings to you and yours,
Dianne

Oh she's beautiful. And what a handsome couple. Seeing the picture of them together, all I could think of was a knight in shining armor and his princess...

Congrats. I certainly hope that your dad is getting better, and that the unemployment situation will be resolved quickly. God be with you all, Janette.

GOD BLESS!

How you described your daughter's beautiful wedding is how I felt at the end of my daughter's wedding.
Saying good-bye to one season of her life and hello to another.

She is absolutely beautiful!

I really appreciate how she prepared for her marriage and not just the wedding.

Congratulations!

Your daughter made a beautiful bride and what a handsome couple they are. A wedding can take a lot out of you then add to that your dad's stroke...I am sure you are physically and emotionally drained. Glad to hear dad is better, will pray that he will make a complete recovery, and that God will continue to provide for your needs

I feel your joy and sense your fatigue, and the amazing mix of emotions with your father so ill during the festivities. Thankful he is home now and better, and the wedding looked just beautiful. What a dress! They look sooo happy! There is nothing more precious than God joining a man and wife together in him!

What a beautiful wedding, and a gorgeous couple,Janette. May they always be as happy as they are right at this moment. No wonder you have been shedding tears. So many challenges, big emotional challenges. So happy to hear your dad is recovering, and obviously the wedding went off beautifully!

I don't know if I've ever told you, but I am a wedding fanatic. I just love them because I'm also a hopeless (hopeful!) romantic. Big or small, fancy or simple, I love them all.

How I would have loved to be there to see your girl walk the aisle. I didn't know or remember that he was military. That's just the icing on the cake. Her dress is drop dead gorgeous. I just retold the story of how she got it and all her other frugal blessings to my husband this weekend. I don't think he really cares about wedding girlishness, but since he prays for you and knows your whole situation, he was blessed by the stories.

She looks like her mommy, and she was such a beautiful bride!!

Praising and thanking for your father, and praising and thanking in advance for the job that I know in the bottom of my heart is right there for you.

Sorry this is so long.
Can't help it.
Weddings make me chatty.

HI Janette...I love these pictures. Your dgt's dress is beautiful....and the couple are gorgeous.

As for the emotional roller coaster...life doesn't wait to give us it's best or worst. Praying for your dad...and for you guys financially. Thank God for 'grace.'

Deep breath, my friend... With God's help, you did it! Although I've been AWOL here for a week, I've been sending prayers your way constantly. I am so happy for your children as they begin their new marriages. I'm thankful your father is progressing. And I'm trusting God that the perfect job is just ahead for your sweet hubby. Even with all of Life's challenges, I rejoice that you still choose to sing "blessings all mine, and ten thousand beside!" Still praying...

He does love us.. so much and sometimes it's easier to remember than others. A stroke and a wedding? What a crazy time. But in true Janette fashion He is glorified. Your daughter is stunning and the groom (son in law) isn't half bad either! :)

CONGRATULATIONS, Debbie
