Benjamin and My Virtual Farm

Benjamin's Farm - Sue has everything at her farm except a pig

I just love it when God reaches down and gives us a kiss on the cheek along with a smile.  That is just what He did for Benjamin and me this week.
We walked to the door two times to find unexpected boxes of "goodies" from two precious women.

We both have dreamed of a farm.  Benjamin wants the animals.  What I want and envision is a place to roam, be still and enjoy a garden with chickens.  Our dreams became "virtual" through two blogging friends.

Sue of Pear Tree Lane Farmhouse sent Benjamin the farm animals and a tractor.  To fulfill my love of home-made canned jam, she sent us two jars of hers.  She also provided garlic for our suburban garden.  Benjamin has adopted Sue and he climbs up on my lap to enjoy her blog on a regular basis. She has also allowed him to name some of her farm animals.  If you don't know her....well, you should; she is a jewel. Sue has encouraged me in my spiritual walk more than once...sometimes beyond the blog post through emails. Thank you, Sue.

Leslie of Farm Fresh and I met at the beginning of my adventure into blog land.  We emailed back and forth and got to know each other beyond the pages of our blog.
Gifts to Benjamin from her kids.
She is a "wiser in years" mother also...so we both enjoy the mixture of menopause symptoms, while taking a child to kindergarten.  She has a farm!

Her retro-kitchen is just a joy.  So when she saw my kitchen and knew my desire for her farm life....well, she added to my kitchen and sent more "virtual" farm goodies.  Her two little ones sent items to Benjamin also.

Her humor is shown in the "chicken poop"  and "udder" lotion. She also sent seeds for my flower garden.  She allowed me to dream even more as I looked through the magazine she sent.

To Leslie and Sue...you have made our day.  We are both enjoying our "virtual" farm.  Love you, girls!

Oh how exciting & sweet! So glad Benjamin enjoys Sue's posts. I can see where it would be fun reading about life on her farm for a little boy. It reminded me of my boys and there love for tractors when I saw Benjamin holding his new treasures. Hope all is well with you and your family.

What wonderful women, Janette! I hopped over to look at their blogs and no wonder... they are so special!!

I just DARE anyone to tell me that these blogging friends are not real!! :)

YAY for Benjamin... he really came out like a winner on these special packages in the mail.

I have to agree... farm life is a huge part of what we spent our summers as kids just loving and thriving on, as we traveled. But then I have to remember that I also wanted a Bed & Breakfast on a hill in the country, until my hubby reminded me that the chief cook and bed changer and laundry person would be me!! :(

Dear blogging buddies to be sure! Benjamin might be starting his own blog any day now. Enjoy your dreams and that farm, which doesn't look so virtual to me.

How wonderful, your goodies are just amazing. Really after getting some of the garlic from Sue, I have never had garlic as fine.
You are so very blessed. So is Benjamin!!

Hurray for Benjamin! It is because he is such a darling boy that he has received these wonderful blessings. You are a wonderful friend too and that's why so many are so drawn to you and your encouraging and heartwarming blog.
I will have to go and check out these blogs. I was raised on a big beautiful farm for the first seven years of my life and still long for those happy days.
Blessings

That's so wonderful and sweet. I have come to know Sue through my visits to Pear Tree Farm. That's actually my mom's favorite blog to read of all. Now, I need to get to know Leslie.

I am so happy Benjamin is enjoying his farm, Janette, I can't tell you how many times during the day, I think of both of you, especially while out waking and seeing the animals. One of these days I will make a video, and show it so He can hear them say hi!
Thank you for your sweet words, I count it a privilege to call you friend and Benjamin for adopting me, I too have adopted him, with your permission of course.. Now I must go and visit leslie.
Much love,
Sue,
p.s. Please tell Benjamin hello for me! He is so adorable!

We all love our own children.
But when some one else loves our children, it means so much to us. For they see what we know.
Sue sees, knows and loves beyond words.

What a wonderful testimony to two good friends. Hard to imagine a world without our on-line friends. There are several I would love to meet in person someday. I love your photos. Thank you for sharing your life with us, Janette.

Good morning! How I love Sue! What a sweet thing to do. Sounds soo like her. I will have to pop over and visit your other friend the first chance I get. For some reason I am totally drawn to the "farming gals" too. I just love to hear about their tales. My grandson Jeffie has such a love for animals and farms too. And I too use to show him pictures of Sue's place. It just soo looks like somewhere you want to visit. Hope you have a good day! That Benjamin is SUCH a cutie! HUGS

Awesome, and so sweet, how God brings friends together! Hubby and I had the privilege to take care of our neighbor's chickens these past two weeks, while they were visiting China. I started liking them, saw behavioral differences, and learned that the hens are way smarter than the rooster, lol; and I just love the fresh eggs! Blessings to you.

I grew up in the farmhouse but the farm was no longer. All my friends had farms and I often helped with chores. I hope you get your farm someday but how wonderful to have a virtual farm, until then. Thanksgiving was wonderful with Logan home. He really loves Austin and is doing very well. That made it easier to wave goodbye on Sunday. Happy Holidays!
