I think that is why I love summer, I don't want to be fenced in!!! My spirit and soul are refreshed when I can run outside the fence.
I Love Summer
- I like not having a schedule
- Not having to stay in doors because of weather
- Not having a Huge to-do list - cleaning can wait until Fall
- I love getting up early to watch the sun rise, spend time with tea and God's word, before anyone moves
- Free outdoor concerts
|
Johnny Cash and June Carter tribute |
- I love not rushing Benjamin off to school
- Being spontaneous - go some where or do whatever, at the last minute
|
Breakfast at the lake the other morning |
- Water...water, and more water - beach - lakes - pool - Water refreshes my soul
- Nature - all nature!!! Hike, camp, explore
|
Yes! Grand Mommy allows mud!!! |
- Sun - long days of Sun!
- Playing.................the joy of playing!!
|
Twins chasing bubbles while everyone else is unloading boxes in their new home! They love the new place |

Picking Blueberries. |
- Travel - if at all possible, seeing what is around our world - this means "staycation" more than out of town, but all of us could take more time to discover what is around us
Now as I look around and see all the dust, the cluttered places and disorganization, of my home. I just say, "Yes!" this is evidence of us making the most of summer! Fall will come, and once again we can organize, clean, be on a schedule, but for now................drop on in, but don't expect a show place. I will meet you for an adventure, my trunk is stocked for summer. I carry chairs, blanket, ice chest and car seats! Come on...we will have an adventure. Just don't fence me in before September!

A wonderful post! Im glad you are enjoying summer…it's a wonderful time. I'm so glad we have a long break like this and don't have year-round school.
You have no idea of how I would love to hang out with you and Benjamin this summer! Enjoy Enjoy! !Enjoy! And think of me once in a while!
Love,
Sue
Oh I just couldn't agree more! When my kids were young I'd count the days down till summertime right along with them! Enjoy every little minute. Have a good 4th!
So true, very encouraging words. I hope you get to all of those things this summer.
What a happy and joyful post!
You got me laughing when you said,"cleaning can wait until Fall."
I just might take you up on that, don't fence me in, idea.
You go girl (and Benjamin).
I love that you love the water... me too!! It makes summer in Texas bearable. It's why we moved out by the lake years ago, it was the closes thing to my Pacific Ocean in the Dallas area. :) Have a great summer!!!
I am with you on making the most of summer! I try to get all my work done by Thursday night so I can have a three day weekend! Enjoy the long sunny days!
Love this and can tell that you are thoroughly enjoying your summer. It's sort of funny that I really don't have to have a schedule anymore at this stage of my life, but I am still very scheduled and am my happiest with plans and organization. You and yours have a wonderful 4th!
Summertime is a good sort of adventure!! Sounds like you're having the best time. I love the warmer weather, the longer days, the warmth of sunshine!
Adventure - here I come!
GOD BLESS!
Me too Janette! Me too! Although since I don't have any school age littles in my life the summer has lost a bit of its magic. Just a bit.;-)
Ah, summer. I agree. Let's not be fenced in for a while. Enjoy the simple pleasures while we can.
Hi Jannette, it's been a while since I was here. Now I see you have grands too... and twins! Wow... what a delight. There was a time when I would read your posts regularly, and I was in touch, but it's been a while. And yes, there have been many changes in our lives. I guess by now your summer is coming to an end, since school has already started, and September is just around the corner. Just want you to know I enjoyed visiting with you, just re-connecting you know, and thanking God for you. Praying that whatever internal season you are in, your heart is at peace and filled with a quiet sense of joy and satisfaction. Much love, Lidia
