Abraham Lincoln's face graces the- $5.00 bill

50 is the Year of Jubilee!!!
Now that is one that I would love to experience in the natural, but I do experience it in my relationship with Christ! The year of Jubilee for the Jews meant...
- Land was allowed to rest
- Debts were forgiven
- Slaves were freed
- Estates were returned to families who had lost their inheritance and forced into poverty
So many fun 5's! And what a fun post! I love that painting you included at the beginning of your post. It fits in perfectly!

Isn't that Jubilee concept a GREAT one?! Continue to be encouraged and strengthened in heart and mind for the adventures of the coming days (and YEAR)!
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeleteYou said that you "Turned 50". For some reason, I though that your birthday was coming up at the END of the month. I might have you confused with another blogger.
So... Happy Birthday!!
Last week, I made the decision to refer to my upcoming 50th as my "Golden Jubilee" and treat it in royal fashion. When I clicked here this morning, I wanted to shout Hallelujah because this post went right along with it.
Great post from a very creative Golden Girl.
Happy Birthday dear friend!!!!! I hope it was as special as you are. Happy Birthday to your boys too.
ReplyDeleteMy baby will turn 3 in 6 weeks and I can't believe it-it goes so fast.
I loved this post as always-really cute-fun 5 facts. Looks like you all had some fun birthday time together. Fun that you all have birthday close together to celebrate-two of mine have birthdays on the 21st like me but different months-makes it easier to remember though-will be good as I get older.
PS-I hope I look half as good as you at 50-you shine with the love of Jesus.
I still don't know the details of what time I will be up there on the 29th-I will keep you posted.
Happy Saturday too!
Love and Hugs
Jill
