Welcome to my eclectic journey of my life and delights. This year my theme is surrendering my writing pen to the true author, Jesus Christ, while looking forward to the future, reflecting on the past and dancing through my journey.

Who Decided That?

The past few months my heart has told me over and over again to come back to blogging.

It isn't that I feel my words are needed by others, or even read, it is for me.  It seems that blogging is like a balm to my soul.  Our souls need to be refreshed, as the world continues to drain them.  Typing out my thoughts, my joys, my struggles and dreams, reminds me that life is good!

God's Word is the daily balm to our souls and spirit.  I rest and soak in His word before taking on my day.  I also believe there are other means God uses to refresh our soul.  A visit to a play, a piece of art, a smile and kiss from a grandchild, can sooth the bumps of this life.

So, today I came back to look at my neglected blog.  I should know, all things neglected need a lot of repair. It is better to continue to maintain, then to have to do a huge overhaul.

Well somehow, or some technology, decided to rearrange my blog.  On the sidebar where I had social icons there were flashing  " not nice" ads.  One I wouldn't want anyone to see.  I then took all the social icons off my side bar.  If you were exposed to them, I apology.

As I scrolled down, all the blogs I cherish and their newest post were gone!!!  They have been taken...whatever new update or whatever!!!, had removed them.

As soon as I get my other business done I hope to return and figure all this out once again.

Lesson to self....neglect is never a good thing.  Not for my body, my mind, my spirit nor my blog!

Hope to see you soon................with a new outlook and cleaned up blog!

I am so sorry, I noticed that some of my things were acting weird too. I have neglected my blog this summer too. That is a good reminder to not neglect those things that are important to us. I hope you get your blog all back to normal with out too much headache.
I hope you have a lovely week!

Sorry you had those issues. I'll have to admit I have been neglecting my blog as well, and I had though about just letting it go but I also find it helps me sort things through. Like you almost a balm to my soul and most importantly it's such a reminder to me as I look back on how God has faithfully met me in so many different situations good and bad. I need that reminder, so I will continue. Hope to see more of your posts as well. Have a wonderful week

Blogging is a hit and miss for me too!
As far as the missing blogs that you visit, other blogs have had the same problem, (love Blogspot vs frustrated with it). Don't understand.

I have noticed that when I first started blogging, I had a lot of friendships and I thought we were close. But as time goes on (years), people change and so does the reason or desire for blogging. Some people still blog, but don't respond back and others just have dropped off.
I was taking it personally and was hurt. But I had to figure out the WHY I am still blogging.
I decided it's not for friendship, though I still consider some "friends". But the creative part of me and the history. I never had a grandmother and always wanted to know more about my missing grandparents. So, now my grand kids will have a history and KNOW who I am.

This is so long, it's almost a blog post! haha

Missed you my friend. Hope to see you back real soon.

Oh, so glad you aren't leaving us. It has been such a joy getting to know you. I blog for myself and when others enjoy it, then that's like icing on the cake for me. Blessings!

If it is any consolation, many had their sidebar blog collections taken. Perhaps they'll return as mysteriously as they disappeared. I love to read that Bloggers are coming back to blogging. You never know who is reading who enjoys your blog and has missed you, though that is not a good enough reason to blog. I think, like all things, it must be Spirit-led.

I too have neglected my blog this summer. It's just so quick and easy to pop a quick pic up on Facebook and Instagram and call it wrap. But as we all know it's not the same. I am really REALLY far behind on all of my Christmas sewing so I will just have to try my hardest to catch my blog up, but it will take effort. I am sooo glad to have met you through this blog world and several others as well. It's a wonderful, wonderful experience. Blessings to you!!

Glad your back! However, we each must do what is best for us and our families. Blogging is an intricate part of my writing, so I faithfully publish on a week. I know many use it as a journal, as one commenter stated. Then for some, the need passed. I am happy you decided to stay with us.God bless!

I have always enjoyed your blog, Janette. And I will eagerly look forward to your presence here again!! As to those changes that keep happening, yup, I get it. Just today I have faced something messed up that I can't fix. UGH! But, may the Lord bless us as we persevere to serve Him in this place called Blog Land.

GOD BLESS!
