Prayers for TEXAS!

View out our car window as we traveled to get through the tornadoes passing on our side and front of our car.  We arrived home safe.  The reports came within minutes of our arrival at home of the destruction these tornadoes left behind.

Our rejoicing over the much needed rain has now turned into shaking our heads as the storms continue across our state.  The flooding and tornadoes across the state have left destruction.

We are only seeing the sun for short periods of time.  I grabbed one glimpse on Saturday.

Our family is safe.  Alarms still sound throughout the day and night, as we continue to watch weather reports.   Our home city is struggling this morning as the waters rose this weekend leaving streets flowing like rivers.  Please pray for safety and protection through the remaining season of storms.  This has been the worst flooding in our state since the 20's.  Pray for the rescue teams and responders in all these areas.  Pray for Texas and other states being affected by these huge storms, yes, the storms brought the much needed rain to a dry thirsty land, yet damage will be felt for years.

It has been so scary to watch. On Sunday my sister's place was receiving 2 inches of rain an hour. The tornadoes have been all around her too.
I have watched Lake Texoma, just get deeper and deeper, and I am still having nightmares about that bridge and the water going over the spillway in Dennison. I can't believe the Red River either.
I keep praying asking the Lord to stop, so I will keep praying. I am so glad you are safe, I was wondering how you were doing.

gWas just thinking of all the blogging buddies I have in Texas. You're the second to report in and I thank you for that. We are praying for Texas that the devastation will be ended and that the storms will leave. I can not imagine the intensity of the stress and concern for all in harm's way. God is in the midst of the storm. Stay safe.

I wondered how it has been going for you and was soo glad to see this report! I've been praying for all of you and will continue. We just got back from my daughters and there property is on the upper north east section of Texas and they too have had storm after storm. Has definitely affected their planting season etc. I can't imagine how scary it would be to look out your car window and see that tornado! Stay safe!

So glad that all of you are safe. Been following the reports, as we have family in Texas. It's just devastating. Sometimes I ask myself, "What's this world coming to?" But I know the answer. One day we will be coming home to the Lord...

GOD BLESS.

The reports of flooding are so incredible, we have been watching Austin, Wimberley and New Braunfels, as well as Houston, and you guys up in Denton too. The cars stuck on the roads and the rivers of water washing through are unbelievable, especially following such a drought here. Our lake was WAY out from the shoreline, and now the lakes are flowing over their banks all over Texas. I pray this will soon end, and spring will turn into summer. Noah is not far from my mind these days. Stay safe!

It seems we rarely get a happy medium. Praying for everyone affected by severe weather, too much water or not enough. If it would only distribute evenly, but God surely has a reason, one our earthly minds cannot understand.
