Welcome to my eclectic journey of my life and delights. This year my theme is surrendering my writing pen to the true author, Jesus Christ, while looking forward to the future, reflecting on the past and dancing through my journey.

It Isn't Gonna Happen

There are just some things that aren't meant to be.  Like........

No matter how high and straight I could kick my legs in High Kicks...I will never dance on Broadway. I will never be a Rockette.   I spent a couple of years teaching children dance, but my feet never made it to Broadway...it wasn't meant to be.  Then there are those who can change roles.............

Only to find out that it isn't as easy as it had looked.  This is where our family is right now.  I can tell you...there are some thing that aren't meant to be.

We heard a pop!  Where had it come from?  No one else was  home except Benjamin and I and we were upstairs.  We started to investigate when we found this..............

yes!!! the eggs were boiling on high and left unattended.  Hubby and son had left for school.  May we say, hubby will never be one of these

Some times things aren't meant to be!  We are just so glad that eggs blown all over the kitchen was the least of our worries...as hubby continues to put on shoes he hasn't worn before.  Oh my!  an unemployed hubby isn't always a good sight to see.   I did chuckle and sent this picture through text to family and friends with a plead for a Job!!!  Well who knows, maybe some one will have mercy on us!  Burnt eggs stink!

Thanks for your wonderful words of encouragement - Lucy and Ethel both appreciate it.  My new shoes...remember that was my accessory for the year...a good pair of tennis shoes for cleaning and a new pair of dress shoes for a B2B luncheon tomorrow.  Yes, Business to Business....my first ever in my life...now is this meant to be????

Praying for a good job for your hubby. Poor man has a lot on his mind. I can not imagine the mess in your kitchen, but it's a perfect way to get a clean kitchen out of the bargain. It seems as if your job is right for now. Hang tough...better days are coming.

There are lots of things cooking at your house!
I'm excited to see what the Lord continues to do.

I have exploded an egg or two in the microwave (just by not getting enough water in the bowl) and let me tell you the mess is not pretty! The only good part is it forces me to thoroughly scrub it out, haha. Praying for a GOOD job for your hubby. Hope all else is going well. Hugs to you today!

Oh those eggs! Yes I've forgotten them before. It's easy to do. It's a good thing you found it though. Praying for you and for your hubby. Those jobs are important.

Love,
Debbie

Praying for Mr. Mom - in the meantime, sounds like there's one too many cooks in the kitchen.

As to you and those *business* shoes - I think that's meant to be.

GOD BLESS!

Just keep walking (in those new shoes) until He directs you to take them off! Some would see exploding eggs as a sign but I remember a young housewife who would no longer be married if cooking catastrophes meant we were not where God wanted us. :)

Blessings, Debbie

Life certainly has plenty of opportunity to laugh when you really would rather cry. Hope all of your endeavors go better than your husband's cooking! (And knowing you, they will!)

Praying for that great job for your Dh, and strength for the journey! I am smiling because I have done the smae thing, but only be rescued by DH.
Give Benjamin a big hug for me.

Sue

Oh, you constantly amaze me at how you keep your humor in the midst of a really, tough, tough time. I think of you often and say a prayer for you and your family. Sweetest blessings!

The one really sad thing regarding this around here is that the husband is actually pretty good (or at least he thinks he is) at cooking and stuff. I would probably get my nose all out of joint if he did too much because he might upstage me.

Saying that, but what I really want to say is that he wouldn't do so good with the role reversal as a whole either. I remember well just how he acted like a caged animal half the time. Just anxious and "crawly". As you said, some things are not meant to be. That's why I pray for you meant to be... to BE.

Praying n sending empathetic hugs! Last night it was me who left veggies simmering , then got distracted in the barn because I now trim my own horses hooves to save on blacksmith bills! Despite the constant timer beeps, dear daughter just sat n watched tv. I was grumpy(really guilty) til a quick prayer helped me and dinner. These tough times of wearing many hats , or SHOES are teaching us ALL new skills! I wish I were closer to put on some nice shoes n attend B2B with you!
