Yesterday the text came. One you don't want to read. One that was very hard for my friend to write out. The man who taught me, in my early married years, how to enter into the Holy of Holies with my Praise and Worship, had been called home by God. He was a young man in his 50's and God took him home in just seconds, while he was at home. My heart just broke. My mind started to ask "why?' Then every scripture I have memorized came to mind. I saw that person again in my mind. I haven't seen him in decades, but I could still see his smile. I could still hear his voice. I could still remember his teaching about entering into the Holy of Holies with our Praise and Worship. I could hear him leading us to the throne of God with our Praise.
This video today is for those who no matter what trial you are going through you will understand that He is there! That nothing that happens to us is meaningless. We should not lose heart. Preach to yourself His word! I need to preach to myself His word. I need to enter into the Court of Praise. I will still worship., "though you slay me".
This is dedicated to the family and friend's who are grieving. As Benjamin held me while I was crying, "Momma, you will see him in heaven one day." I will see him in heaven. He will be leading Praise and Worship for our King and I will be dancing before the throne with the music. I can only Imagine.
I remember exactly who was the first to teach me how to really enter the Holy of Holies with praise and worship--it was Merlin Carothers in Prison to Praise--I believe that was his name--those people who lead us in to true worship are so special. Even though I never knew him in person, I will never forget his teachings and the changes that came in my life as a result of absorbing his book.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for the loss of your friend. Praying God's peace to surround you--and that was so precious what Benjamin said--you have taught him well--just as I said yesterday--smile--
Janette
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for the loss of your friend. I will pray for his family and friends.
It makes us realize that the times that we spend helping another draw closer to the Lord are what people will remember when we're gone.
I am so sorry for this family's and your loss Janette, I am thankful for those that God placed in my life along this journey, And for the blessed hope of a grand reunion day! I am also thankful that the pain in this life is not meaningless! This song and the words of encouragement on the video, is so powerful, thank you for shairng. Master Benjamin was there at the right time with the right words of encouragement, what a blessing he is.
ReplyDeleteI wil be praying.
Hugs,
Sue
It's so hard to loose people who have been used by God to bring us closer to Himself...but thank God He placed your friend in your life and when you see him again the two of you will be praising God together....God is collecting all those tears to Himself...
ReplyDeleteI am so very sorry to read that someone so dear has left your life. You have memories of him that can never be taken away. You must imagine what splendor, what joy he is knowing now with our Lord, his Lord. I pray comfort and strength for all of his family and you as well. How wonderfully God used him in your life and it is so evident as you minister here on your blog.
ReplyDeleteLove you~
Oh Janette I am so sorry to hear about this loss. I love that Benjamin had such sweet words for you, how that must have blessed you. Will be praying for this family and for you sweet friend! LOVED that video!
ReplyDeleteJanette, because of the very recent passing of my father, I understand how you're feeling right now. How very sorry I am to hear about the untimely loss of your friend. Untimely to our minds anyway. God knows, and His timing is perfect, though we will never understand some of it in this lifetime.
ReplyDeleteMay you and his friends and family be greatly comforted by the hope that the Lord Jesus brings us.
And yes, one day, we will all be reunited together. Face-to-face with each other, and with The One who made it all possible.
GOD BLESS!
I am so sorry for you loss. I love Benjamen's words of comfort. What a blessing our children are when we need to be reminded. What I liked best was the verses that you had memorized came back to you when you needed them.
ReplyDeleteSo important to have those stored in our heart. I will be praying for that mans family and for you.
It always comes as a shock when one goes so swiftly and at an early age. He is surely singing today. May his family, church family and friends know comfort. Benjamin is so sweet reminding you so sweetly of the great truths of the faith.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry my friend. It hurts, the loss is real and it shocks us each time something like this happens. And then, a precious little boy reminds his mom of what the real truth is, and where he is singing those praises right now. Even so, I know your heart is hurting. I am saying a prayer right now for you, and for his family, that God will comfort, as only God can.
ReplyDeleteLove you!
I am so sorry for the loss of your friend Janette and was touched by your sweet Benjamin. I love how he was comforting his mama with truth. Keeping you in prayer
ReplyDeleteI haven't clicked the link yet. I probably need to steal myself (Or is it steel myself? I never know.) in advance of it. I'm sort of an emotional wimp this week too.
ReplyDeleteThere is something so very special about a praise and worship leader crossing the Jordan. Though THIS one is hard to bear because he was so young and it was so fast, there is still such a palpitating feeling of praise in knowing that he is doing the very thing he rehearsed his entire life.
Lifting you with prayers of peace and comfort as you mourn his passing, Janette.
Now, I will listen to the link.
