The beginning four...Allen, Kenny, Nicole and Aaron. |
These words sing through my heart and head -
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears
Fiddler on the Roof
Can't you just hear the whole song? This is the season of life I find myself.
Just when did they grow up? I am sure I didn't get any older and I surely am not old enough to have all these adult children.
Feb. 13 - Our third son turned 24!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aaron David Wright
On Valentine's Day our second son (William Allen) and his fiance (Katie) got their marriage licences They will marry here in the US at the court house and have their wedding in September in Italy.
I painted a head board for Nicole's new room....she is giggling about becoming a wife.
Kenny and Sarah visited their future child for the second time....we all can't wait for the final walk of this adoption, so we all can share the new one.
Now please tell me....just Where Did Time Go?
Thank you for your precious supportive comments and prayers from my last post...God is faithful!
omg Janette...the words to the fiddler on the room song hits home. My oldest is turning 17 next week and my youngest 13 this year. Hard to believe.
ReplyDeleteYour kids are beautiful....all of them. Have a wonderful weekend. Love this post. It made my mom heart nod.
Oh Janette I have asked myself that same question for years now...my oldest is 40!! Can you imagine? And even my youngest is 26! It goes soo fast. Everyone always said that, but goodness is it ever true! You have still got sweet little Benjamin to keep you company for years and years! Your boys looked soo alike when they were young. Do they still? How I love that song....it will be in my head now today I am thinking. Enjoy your day, and thank for your prayers for my sweet Tella. HUGS
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Janette!
ReplyDeleteOh, yes! The years go by so fast, don't they? Motherhood is a beautiful calling. You are a warm mother, full of love!
Now I understand what you meant two weddings. I couldn't figure that out. I didn't know they were both getting married.
ReplyDeleteI bet you are pulling your hair out. Well she looks like a beautiful girl.
Well I will keep praying. It is true it goes too fast. I won't even touch a picture album this time of life.
I can't look back any more. It did go by way to fast.
Oh my! Benjamin looks so much like his brother Aaron.
ReplyDeleteYes, many of us are singing this song and now I've begun singing it for my grands. Ackkk...now that really is getting scary!
This is a lot of change in a very short time. Thankfully, our Father is the same - yesterday, today and forever. ♥
ReplyDeleteYour kids are all so good looking. The young Aaron looked so much like little Benjamin does now. I don't know where time goes. It seems that only yesterday I was holding my two little guys on each of my knees and now they are 26 and 23!
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs~
All your kids look so much like you! It must do your heart good to see them all thriving and doing what God called them to do.
ReplyDeletePS You are still in my prayers and I just know your breakthrough is right around the corner.:)
Oh yes ...time. It does go by oh so quickly, doesn't it? Sounds like there's lots of upcoming excitement.
ReplyDeleteLove to you Janette.
Debbie
Oh, I hear you and I'm with you, where did IT go? What good looking kids. I guess it's just all the more reason that we have to make sure that every day is a memory making occasion. Blessings to you Jeanette!
ReplyDeleteI saw the Fiddler on the roof for the first time EVER -- ever mind you when my kids were in Jr.High.. Yes, I enjoyed totally and Now got the song in my head..wink! wedding in Italy - wow!..Oh wow -- that will be a huge wow..
ReplyDeleteWhere's the photo of the painted head board?? coming soon I hope!
I can't tell you where time went..but it went..
Hugs
Oh Please - no more verses of that song!!! I will have a complete breakdown!!! I've heard it at several weddings, and it makes me just bawl like a baby!!!
ReplyDeleteNo, it's a beautiful song, Janette, and I think of it often when I look at my kids. I still hope my kids don't use for their wedding! LOL!
I wonder the same thing, sunrise, sunset... kids and now their kids. Wow! But you are so blessed with your kids continuing, I don't think your nest will ever be empty! :)
ReplyDeletewow ~ such exciting times for your precious family!
ReplyDeleteDear friend, what beautiful children! What joy and beauty. I am a few years behind you, but will quickly be there! What a blessing that little one was and how faithful you are to pour into him. I'd love to know about the wedding it Italy! Tell me more. "She pondered these things in her heart." Love ya friend.
ReplyDeleteIf you find the answer to that question ... pass it on.
ReplyDeleteFondly,
Glenda
That song always, always makes me cry. I don't know where the time goes. My youngest recently turned 26, and my oldest just turned 30 last month!!
ReplyDeleteI still say that motherhood is a bittersweet journey. Joy at seeing my children grow up, and become wonderful adults and friends. And yet, there are many moments when I miss having them home with me.
Sigh.
I'm just so glad that we have a home in eternity when we will all be together FOREVER!!
GOD BLESS!
My oldest turned 36 last year... time keeps spinning along faster and faster and faster it seems!! You have such a beautiful family, Janette. Lots of change in a very short time! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteOh Janette, I am familiar with that type of anguish (your previous post) and it is a walk through the valley of darkness, clinging to the light we know lives in our heart, but despair clouds it. When I finally allow the Holy Spirit to comfort me I recognize that I continue to be molded and these times are often when I am reshaped. Blessings to you my friend as Christ holds you in his hand, reshaping you into an ever more effective agent of the Kingdom.
ReplyDeleteJanette, you have been on my heart lately, and I came here at the first opportunity this morning to catch up. What a wonderful blessing children are -- even when they're growing up so fast we hardly recognize them.
ReplyDeleteThey do grow up so quickly. I look at my children and can't believe they are as old as they are. How and when did this happen?? and my oldest grandchild is eleven already. Yes time just seems to fly by.
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy season you are going through and that song...had it played at my wedding when the mothers were escorted in (she cried every time she heard it, now I understand why:)
Turn around, turn around and they've all grown. I can't believe my oldest is 40 and has kids 13, and 11. My middle boy is now 38 with kids 12 and 11 and my baby girl. Going to be 32! And her baby is already 5! Turn around, turn around and where have the years gone?
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you, Janette on this new phase of your life.
I am so sorry to be AWOL. Please, please know that I have been praying for you earnestly as I watch the calendar and see the month go by.
ReplyDeleteYour Allen looks so much like Benjamin to me. I ask myself the same question of where do the years go all the time. Right now, I am in a constant state of that question.
When God gave your your own Isaac a few years ago, He knew exactly what He was doing, didn't he? He always does, but sometimes, it's nice to see it so plain and clear.
I promise you that I AM lifting you with a heart that understands it more than words can express.
I was hoping you could tell me!! Where did time go? Congratulations on all of the beautiful changes that are taking place in your family.. Changes.. sigh. I KNOW! sigh..
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Debbie
I agree... the time goes by so quickly. I remember being a young mom and people telling me to savor every moment with my children because they grow up so fast. I didn't think too much about it then BUT boy were they right! Just a different season in our lives. You have a lot of new joys you are about to experience!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you! :)
OH! Janette! I love this, has anyone told you how much Allen and Benjamin look alike? I have asked myself the same question many times over, and just wait until those grandchildren start flowing into to your heart and life! Your blessings will multiply many times over and you will soon be asking yourself this question once again, and if the Lord wills those great grandchildren will come, and once again here we go. ~smile~
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry i missed your Valentine post.I have been missing from blogland for some time.
This was such a sweet post, Now i would have wanted to go and have a little talk with the bully, but Benjamin has taught me a lesson, however I am a mother and a grandmother, so don't mess with my chicks.~smile~ I have missed you and Benjamin, but you are in my thoughts and prayers, and that picture is on my refrigerator.
Sending much love and hugs today.
Sue
Janette,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have some lovely family events to look forward to. So glad for you.
Blessings to you - Marsha
Just wanted you to know that I am still praying for you. I don't know if you'll see this, but I had a moment to stop by and say that before the bell begins on me for the next round.
ReplyDeleteThought (prayed) of you this morning. Just wanted you to know.
