I declare - I AM REDEEMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Redeemed"
Seems like all I could see was the struggle
Haunted by ghosts that lived in my past
Bound up in shackles of all my failures
Wondering how long is this gonna last
Then You look at this prisoner and say to me "son
Stop fighting a fight it's already been won"
I am redeemed, You set me free
So I'll shake off these heavy chains
Wipe away every stain, now I'm not who I used to be
I am redeemed, I'm redeemed
All my life I have been called unworthy
Named by the voice of my shame and regret
But when I hear You whisper, "Child lift up your head"
I remember, oh God, You're not done with me yet
I am redeemed, You set me free
So I'll shake off these heavy chains
Wipe away every stain, now I'm not who I used to be
Because I don't have to be the old man inside of me
'Cause his day is long dead and gone
Because I've got a new name, a new life, I'm not the same
And a hope that will carry me home
I am redeemed, You set me free
So I'll shake off these heavy chains
Wipe away every stain, 'cause I'm not who I used to be
I am redeemed, You set me free
So I'll shake off these heavy chains
Wipe every stain, yeah, I'm not who I used to be
Oh, God, I'm not who I used to be
Jesus, I'm not who I used to be
'Cause I am redeemed
Thank God, redeemed
Haunted by ghosts that lived in my past
Bound up in shackles of all my failures
Wondering how long is this gonna last
Then You look at this prisoner and say to me "son
Stop fighting a fight it's already been won"
I am redeemed, You set me free

ReplyDeleteThat's a great song. I really enjoyed listening to it. He's got a nice easy to listen to voice as well.

Great song from a great group. I love these words and declare them over myself for the victory, His victory, has already been won! Truly, we are redeemed!
ReplyDeleteGreat song, great band.
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
Sat back... and enjoyed the music and the moment.
ReplyDeleteIt is always so nice to read these words. It is always a nice reminder to focus on being redeemed. Have a nice week.
ReplyDeleteOh Janette I loved this! We are redeemed indeed! HUGS
ReplyDeleteHaving a little trouble getting my groove back since last week. I don't know if it is hormonal fatigue or what, but I am.
ReplyDeleteI just sat here and listened to that one and let it wash all over me.
Thanks, Janette.
I needed that.
How fortunate to have that legacy with your grandmother, Janette. Music is such a powerful way to invoke and make memories. I can't imagine a world without music. And music to praise God with, it just doesn't get much better.
ReplyDeleteThank You Lord...for this time of worship, for this time You have ministered to my heart and built me up. Praise You Jesus, for You are worthy of praise and adoration,,King of kings and Lord of lords..amen amen amen
