May I Pray! May I Knock! May I Enter Your Gates with Thanksgiving!
As I continue to look forward to the celebration of Passover and Easter I am stepping back to prepare my heart. Unlike other celebrations through the year I don't spend much time decorating, but I take that time to focus on my walk with the Lord.
This piece on prayer is from my pastor Matt Chandler. He is walking through brain cancer, as we all petition through prayer, believing for his healing. I believe you will be encouraged by this very short exhortation on prayer.
Loved this. Beautiful and encouraging. This is how I want my payer life to be.
ReplyDeletePraying for your pastor. I have a friend who has been in total remission (healing) from brain cancer for 16 years. God is good.
I've enjoyed listening to this and a few others. I'll be back to pick up these videos because they're excellent. What a blessing for you to have such a pastor. I am adding him to my prayer list. I believe that God is not finished with him. Blessings...
ReplyDeleteWill remember him in prayer!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Saturday in Denton...
He loves being bothered by us! I love it:)
ReplyDeleteFantastic! "Bother Me!" I really love that since I often do feel like such a bother.
ReplyDeleteSuch a perfect and encouraging post ~ THANK YOU!!! I soooo needed this. As you read, I am bothering him quite a bit since I gave up coffee! ;-)
ReplyDeletePrayers now also sent for this awesome pastor several times a day! :-)

Hi Janette. I love the heart preparations you are making for Easter. Very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteAwesome words, I found it on youtube and posted it on my facebook site. Deep intense struggling brings deep intense words from the heart, the words were powerful and ministering to many. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteThis was phenomenal Janette, really it was. I'll be praying for your pastor. Thank you so much for sharing this post!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
How humbling & encouraging.
ReplyDeleteI loved and was encouraged by this,
ReplyDeleteJanette. Thank you. I have prayed
for your pastor and will continue.
Keep us posted please. Ask, seek,
knock. The word is very clear as
to what we are to do and the Spirit
gives us the strength to do it if
we ask.
Blessings~
Hi Janette ~
ReplyDeleteWhat a great video...
Praying without ceasing...
Every breath we take
is prayer...
Your pastor must be gathering great braveness to fight his cancer.
I know he must be filled with prayer ~
Thank you for sharing this video*
Have a beautiful Sunday*

The Word of God is "quick" (alive) and powerful! I ♥ how this WHOLE exhortation is straight from God's Word!
ReplyDeletethis is great and my sister had brain cancer and today...she's totally okay. believing with you for Mark's complete healing
ReplyDeleteWow! this blew me away!
ReplyDeleteAnd I loved what you said about the Easter season,"focus on my walk with the Lord".
Stopped here, by way of Place in my Heart.
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing your pastor must be Janette to his congregation, as he certainly has ministered to me this morning. I will be praying for his healing.
ReplyDeleteMuch love to you dear friend as you seek the Lord during this most Holy and blessed season.
Hugs,
Sue
What a special season this is. The reason for the joy we all have...He rose again!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful week.
Blessings,
Becky
I am praying for your pastor, too, sweetie. God is able!

..you who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves..
ReplyDeleteHow guilty I am. I may get real about my situation the first time I bring it before the Lord but then I just throw off reminders to Him. But He says "you who remind the Lord"...Take no rest? I doubt that I have ever prayed to this extent before! One wrenching, heart-felt prayer followed by worried reminders does not constitute prayer without ceasing. Thanks Janette, Debbie
Back to this post to tell you that I had missed that Book Title post somehow. I don't know how, but I loved it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful Pastor you have and what a blessing he must be to all of you. I wondered what had happened to him. I am praying for him for sure. And yes, a wonderful time to really seek the Lord. Have a wonderful day my friend! HUGS
ReplyDeletePrayer is an area of my life that I *pray* God helps me go deeper...
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful pastor you have - what a testimony he is to so many - even those of us who don't attend his church. Prayers continue for him and his family.
Thanks for sharing, Janette.
GOD BLESS!
Janette,
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed hearing this short lecture on prayer from your pastor. I wish that my prayer life was this good, but shamefully, it is not.
I missed the scripture in the video where it mentions that God actually wants us to "bother him" with our prayers until the New Jeruselum (sp) comes. Wow! That verse totally blew my mind away!
I pray that your pastor will find healing from his cancer. This must a scary time for him.
Blessings,
-LR
