This summer God walked me through some very personal growth. He used his written word, blogs and books by different authors. I can say that when I posted that God was putting me back on the potter's wheel I had no idea what means He would use. Summer has meant "Spiritual Growth"
Summer 2010 has been a time to Enjoy and Refresh with My Family
Summer 2010 has allowed me to be Creative - How Energizing!
Summer 2010 has allowed me to be Productive
Through Mommy Piggy Tales, where I have been recording my youth...well I can say God allowed me to have the same type of summer I had as a youth. All of the above were ALWAYS accomplished during the summer....even without a list.
So Long Summer, welcome our 22nd year of home schooling .....now for FALL...what will my God have for you and I? I hope your summer has been a blessing...and thanks so much for sharing mine with me....I couldn't have imagined the blog world either.
Good grief!!! Your summer looks amazing Janette! Talk about productivity!!
ReplyDeleteAnd in the lean days that may seem less productive, just pull these pictures out... it will bless you that all of this got done! :)
Good girl!
WOW...I agree with Sonja...what a productive amazing summer you have had. I can't believe we are half way through August. Fall really is right arouund the corner. How wonderful that you home school. What a good feeling that has got to be. Have a wonderful day...HUGS
ReplyDeleteJanette.... love your creativity! Wow, what a great partnership in the business we could have! lol
ReplyDeleteMax Lucado's book "Fear..." you suggested for me is next on my list....I'm finishing "Come Thirsty" now.
I can't believe my kiddo's return to school next week.
But I must say, I love Autumn!
You did have a productive summer. We don't start school for another few weeks here. Happy first day of the school year to you!
ReplyDeleteOh my Janette, you've been very productive this summer. And to think of all you've been going through. To God be the glory!
ReplyDeleteMay you continue to be strengthened each day by the Lord. May He work in you and through you to impact others. You've blessed me!
Much love,
Debbie
Amazing! According to your
ReplyDeletepictures you really have had
a productive summer! And you
have young ones at home, too!
Hope you'll share some of your
creative endeavors with us. I
love anything to do with arts
and crafts, needle work, etc.
Also hope your home schooling
this year will be as productive
as your summer has been. How I
miss my boy being in college
now and not needing me.
Blessings,
Sandy
I love the colors of your creativity Janette... you're so inspiring! Sitting on this side of the fence, overall, your life looks very good! ღ
ReplyDeleteWell you had one busy summer! And might I add that your pictures are amazing! Suddenly I'm feeling a little guilty for all my indulgences at the beach...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post!! Great pictures too. Looks like you had a wonderful summer.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by the other day with such kind words of encouragement. It really means a lot!!
What a great recap! Your pictures are always so good. Just curious - what kind of camera do you use? Well, I bet it's the photographer that makes all the difference.
ReplyDeleteOK, after reading this blog post I'm thinking of one thing .... Proverbs 31 ... that's you, girl!
You're inspiring in so many ways. May the Lord bless and KEEP you in the days ahead.
Your blogging 'neighbor' :)
Hi Janette - thank you for visiting my blog today and for sharing your own story with me. And now, thank you, for your post about your summer - it has inspired me to take inventory of my summer and focus on the positive accomplishments. And . . . I also appreciate the post that you shared about "Yank It!" - I get confused sometimes about when to jump in and take care of something myself and when to wait and pray. I guess if God has given me a brain and a good, strong body I should do my part! Even though we live in Indiana, spent most of our lives in Michigan, I was actually born in Houston, so perhaps I can be kind of a "Texas Girl'? Have a great Tuesday! Hugs, Nina
ReplyDeleteYou are such a creative person, Janette!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with you - it's good to look back and consider what has been accomplished. I think it gives a better sense of focus for what we're doing and what is truly important. Thanks!!!
Janette,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful post! What a fruitful summer God has truly given you. Thanks so much for sharing this. It's been a blessing. :)
It looks like it has been a very busy summer for you. I love the collages. It looks like that first one was actual photographs put together. It turned out so nice! You know I've loved your walk down memory lane :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
Wom Janette, I am so impressed. Beautiful memories, spiritual growth, abundant harvest to enjoy throughout the year, refinishing the old into something new. And what a blessing to enjoy the summer as you did as a kid.
ReplyDeleteMay your fall be as spectacular as your summer!
What a great way to recapture your accomplishments over the summer!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pics and projects~ looks like an awesome summer despite the challenges!
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean...you have had a very busy and very blessed summer! I'm so glad I "met" you through Mommy's Piggy Tales. I'll "read" you again tomorrow! :)
